Looks like it’s that time of year again. Tours, while not many, are winding down and soon it will be time to put our shiny babies away for the winter. That is unless you live down south where the winter months are great for touring.
Once again, I am asking for volunteers to host National VMCCA Tours for the 2026 calendar year and beyond. For those who have hosted a tour in the past, maybe you can talk to fellow region members and ask someone to repeat a regional or chapter tour but on a national level and pass on your knowledge of what to do, what to see, etc. Lend a helping hand.
Some work is being done to ease some of the rules and regulations of running a national tour. One area I want you all to realize is that tours don’t have to be five to seven days long. According to the current guide, it is only mandatory to have three full days of touring. Would this little bit of info help you in volunteering to be a host?
So, again, please think about it. Remember your first job? It was hard to begin with, but as you learned more it got easier and better, and you enjoyed the rewards of sticking to it.
Hope to see you all somewhere in this great country.
Trisha Copley,
VMCCA Activities Vice President
