Time sure flies when you’re having fun (touring, that is). Summer has unofficially come to a close with the passing of Labor Day. On the national club scene, we had the 78th Revival AAA Glidden Tour (hosted by AACA this year) and the Western National Tour (hosted by Steve Partman). There are numerous regional and chapter tours scheduled all over the country.
We’re still looking for volunteers to host some national tours for 2025. I’d like to make a little clarification regarding the position of VMCCA Activities Vice President (for me or for anyone else who may hold this position). The person in this position does not decide who hosts a national tour or where it will be. This position primarily serves as a liaison between the members volunteering and the officers. This helps to ensure that things will run smoothly for everyone concerned, and communication will primarily be handled between parties via the Activities Vice President.
With that said, there are several national tours still open and available for 2025. I’d really appreciate your volunteering. As stated in my last message, look at some of your past tours. On a regional or chapter level, some of those older tours would be great for national tours. There are lots of fantastic places in this country to see. So, please, give it some thought. Volunteer. It would be greatly appreciated.
Trisha Copley,
VMCCA Activities Vice President
